Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Grand Prairie, TX (Onsite)

About the Role

As a Proposal Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and excellence of proposal submissions across the Grand Prairie organization. You'll lead the development and refinement of proposal processes, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, contractual obligations, and internal quality standards. This role demands a strong foundation in quality engineering, proposal writing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized proposal development processes and quality assurance methods.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and validation of proposals to ensure compliance with customer, contractual, and internal requirements.
  • Define and manage operating criteria for software and systems quality programs aligned with project and contract goals.
  • Review and integrate specifications, tools, and methodologies into proposal packages.
  • Ensure traceability, testability, and verification of proposal requirements throughout the bid lifecycle.
  • Maintain and audit proposal documentation including specifications, checklists, risk assessments, and compliance matrices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure proposal accuracy and completeness.
  • Train team members on proposal standards and quality processes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), proposal quality, and quality engineering principles.
  • Proven experience in writing Proposals and Basis of Estimate (BOE).
  • Ability to meet tight proposal deadlines with accurate, complete, and competitive submissions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience using causal analysis tools to resolve technical and process issues.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience in dispositioning non-conforming products.
  • Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management.
  • Experience developing performance metrics for process improvement.
  • Skilled in writing technical and cost volumes.
  • Understanding of TINA Compliance and TINA SWEEP.
  • Knowledge of industry quality standards such as CMMI, AS9100, ISO9001, AS9145.
  • Experience with audit techniques and corrective action documentation.
  • Background in Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality.
  • Familiarity with MFC SAP and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems.
  • Creative problem-solving mindset and continuous improvement orientation.
