Job Title: Guidewire Business Analyst
Location: Sacramento, California.
Duration: 6 Months C2H
Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong experience in Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter) to join our client s team. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and QA to translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements for Guidewire implementations and enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Gather, document, and analyze business and functional requirements.
Translate business needs into clear and concise user stories or BRDs/FSDs.
Work with cross-functional teams to define and refine business processes for PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
Participate in system configuration discussions and validate system behavior aligns with requirements.
Perform gap analysis and impact assessments.
Assist in testing efforts (UAT, system testing) and defect triage.
Support change management and training efforts.
Create documentation such as process flows, wireframes, and use cases.
Ensure solutions comply with industry regulations and company standards.
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in P&C Insurance domain.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire modules PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
Strong knowledge of Guidewire product lifecycle, configuration, and integration capabilities.
Solid understanding of insurance operations, especially for personal/commercial lines.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Guidewire certifications (BA or Configuration)
Experience with integrations (web services, APIs) related to Guidewire.
Previous experience working in remote/distributed teams.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance processes in the insurance industry.
