About the Role
We are seeking a Java Solution Architect to lead end-to-end technical solution design and delivery for mission-critical systems. This role will collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and enterprise architects to drive architectural decisions, shape product roadmaps, and ensure alignment with business goals.
You will play a pivotal role in transforming requirements into scalable, cloud-native, and microservice-based solutions, leveraging modern Java frameworks, AWS services, and containerization technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive the technology vision and strategy for assigned solutions or domains.
Serve as a technical liaison between business and IT teams, translating business needs into scalable architectural designs.
Develop solution architecture documents, high-level designs, API contracts, and data integration plans.
Collaborate with data architects on table/schema designs and provide clear contracts for implementation.
Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives for evaluating emerging technologies and tools.
Guide and mentor development teams through solution implementation and ensure adherence to best practices.
Support Agile/Lean product development with a focus on modular, reusable, and secure components.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and proactively recommend improvements or innovations.
Required Skills and Experience
5 7 years of solution architecture experience, including system decomposition, high-level design, and implementation oversight.
Proven expertise in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks.
Strong hands-on experience with RESTful microservices architecture.
Deep understanding of AWS cloud services and deployment best practices.
Proficient with Kafka for event-driven architecture.
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
Familiar with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools; comfortable working with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across teams and present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to drive collaboration and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Attributes
Familiarity with Agile frameworks like Scrum or SAFe.
Experience with enterprise-scale system integration and API gateway technologies.
Prior background in contract-first design with data and platform teams.
