Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Lead Load Balancer Architect to design and lead a complex global network infrastructure focused on F5 Load Balancing and cloud-native technologies across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform. This role is critical to the organization s cloud and data center transformation initiatives and will play a key role in developing high-availability, scalable, and secure load balancing solutions across global environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of a global F5 Load Balancing infrastructure (on-premises and cloud).

  • Manage a large, complex deployment of server load balancing and geographically distributed networking infrastructure.

  • Drive design and standardization of Server Load Balancing architecture across the enterprise, including detailed schematics.

  • Develop migration strategies for applications and servers from data center to data center and into the cloud.

  • Partner with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) to leverage native load balancing tools and best practices.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to select, implement, and optimize technical solutions.

  • Identify and execute network performance, reliability, and efficiency enhancements leveraging automation where possible.

  • Act as a senior escalation point for high-severity production issues involving load balancing/network infrastructure.

  • Lead and deliver multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-scale load balancing solutions (on-prem and cloud).

  • Deep expertise in F5 (LTM, GTM) and AppViewX.

  • Demonstrated experience with native cloud load balancing technologies in Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.

  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management platforms.

  • F5 Certifications (Technology Specialist or Solutions Expert) required.

  • Experience with network automation (e.g., Ansible, Python) is a strong plus.

  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
