Job Details

Apple's RF Systems Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated and independent expert with a proven track record in the field of radio frequency (RF) receiver system engineering. We cordially invite you to join our dynamic group, presenting you with an outstanding opportunity to chip in to the development of upcoming products that will captivate and encourage millions of Apple's valued customers every day. Join our team and deliver ground breaking and differentiating RF receiver architectures and solutions for Apple's wireless products, enabling an outstanding customer experience.

Description In this role, you will be part of an industrial leading RF Systems Engineering Team. You will work closely with transmitter and receiver architecture teams, RF design teams, pre- and post-silicon verification teams to drive innovation and next generation product architecture. - Definition, modeling and simulation of sophisticated RF use cases comprising RF transceiver and RF front-end.(e.g. SRS, UL switching, MSIM). - Derivation of RF transceiver requirements and RF front-end requirements. - Definition of efficient architectures supporting sophisticated dynamic system use cases. - Collaborating with Front End, RX, and TX teams on micro-architecture. - Continuous improvement of architecture definition and verification methodology. - Development of control and mapping algorithms for optimum interworking between transceiver and RF Front End. - Collaboration with baseband system engineering on sophisticated modem use cases, system requirements, and system partitioning. - Authoring of system architecture specifications as mentorship to system engineering, design, and validation teams.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BS and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience is required.
  • Strong background in math and physics, especially electromagnetic.
  • Programming skills e.g. Python.
  • Understanding of RF transceiver architectures.

Preferred Qualifications
  • We are looking for hands-on experience with design and simulation of analog/digital signal processing paths.
  • Background in communication technology and basic knowledge of cellular radio standards on physical layer.
  • We are seeking an engineer with solid understanding of transmitter and receiver architectures.
  • Understanding for RF filter design and technology (LC, SAW, BAW).
  • Basic overview of power amplifier design, characterization and system usage.
  • Understanding of key components of RF Front Ends (LNA, PA, filters, switches etc.) and their integration in Front End modules.
  • We are looking for a dedicated engineer with healthy combination of innovation demeanor and understanding of practical constraints of product development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal especially in a multi-functional environment.
