CGI is seeking to hire a Senior Java AWS Developer, who will work in a team with highly motivated team environment and with all the standard methodologies and processes followed to complete the project. Developer will work on a team of truly talented individuals and be responsible for the design, build, and unit testing of IT applications and its components that work with sophisticated enterprise systems and external vendor systems.

This excellent opportunity can be performed in Austin, TX (preferred), Bloomfield, CT, Lafayette, LA, Nashville, TN or Raleigh, NC.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Analytical Skills: Candidate must be able to recognize the needs of customers and build simple solutions that answer those needs.
Creativity: Creativity is needed to help invent new ways of approaching problems and developing innovative applications as well as bringing experience from other industries.
Customer Service: If dealing directly with clients and customers, candidate would need good customer service skills and consultant mentality to answer questions and fix issues.
Attention to Detail: Applications have many parts and all must work together for the application to function.
Teamwork: Candidate must work well with others as part of a distributed agile (SAFe) team of developers, analysts, QA, and more.
Technical Skills: Candidate must be adept in computer languages and have strong technical capability. Must have a validated knowledge with common design patterns should seek out opportunities to implement design patterns.

Responsibilities:
Leverage existing open source frameworks, third party components/libraries, cloud and commercial software to develop robust enterprise solutions.
Design and Develop Software applications, features and defect fixes.
Should be willing to work on proprietary technical product and develop as SME of the product.
Champion and practice Agile Principles.
Write Unit Test, Perform Code reviews and participate in Scrum meetings, Supply to low level design of the features/ user stories.
Work closely with Dev Team, Test team, Product Manager and Business Analyst to collaborate, review and deliver high quality software applications.
Have a demeanor for standard methodologies like unit testing, code coverage and dev-Ops.
Be able to evaluate performance of applications and deliver solutions which are efficient and performant.
Enable a 360 degree view of customer-centric information through integration of a multitude of internal/external systems, mobile apps, devices, and data marts.
Support and improve existing applications used by consumers as well as operations staff.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Minimum of at least 9+ years of Java development experience.
Strong familiarity with sophisticated concepts and relevant hands-on development experience.
Required Java coding standard methodologies, review code, TDD cases, and merge the code.
Strong experience on Java, Spring, Spring batch, Spring boot, Fuse, MongoDB, and Cloud Deployment.
Kafka, MQ experience a must have.
Strong experience in AWS development and AWS Services such as Terraform, Lambda, SNS, S3, Glue, CloudWatch, Login Mechanism, DynamoDB, Document DB, Arora.
Service Oriented Architecture (Web Services, REST API, Microservices).
XML, XLST, XPath Programming experience.
Experience with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
Build and Deploy tools like Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
Database development & tuning (PL/SQL/XQuery).
Application Performance (threading, indexing, clustering, caching).
Unit Testing and Performance Tuning Application experience.

Nice to have:
Angular JS.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000 - $161,600.
