Responsibilities

  • Implement Schneider Production Standards to establish, maintain, and enhance the production equipment and processes with a focus on reducing downtime, improving quality, continuous improvement, and safety.
  • Responsible for deploying Lean methodologies to improve safety, quality, or productivity: which may include VSM (value stream mapping), SMED (single minute exchange of dies), 8-Wastes, Takt Time, Jidoka, PokaYoke, Kaizen, MTM (motion & time movements) LADM (Line Architecture Design Methodology), MPH (Material Providing & Handling) and Six Sigma.
  • Conduct Time-motion studies and develop standardized work instructions.
  • Develop & lead projects by applying 6 sigma principles to conduct process flow analysis, improve process time, create cycle time definitions, improve 1st pass yield, reduce process variation, and improve process stability.
  • Determine manufacturing process layout optimization.
  • Responsible for monitoring efficiency indicators, KE, OEE, NEE, IE and to take actions to improve the efficiency and capacity of the line.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support for technologies that support Smart Factory (Industry 4.0) deployment.

Who will you report to?

Prefab NAM Operations Leader, Sr. Director - Customer Projects & Services. This is an onsite position. You are required to work at the Red Oak, TX facility 5 days a week.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University is required (Prefer Industrial Engineering degree).
  • 5+ years Industrial Engineering experience in an automated industrial environment.
  • Manufacturing process Layout optimization.
  • Experience in Time-motion studies and standardized work.
  • Hands-on experience with LEAN concepts (i.e., VSM, SMED, 8-Wastes, Takt Time, Jidoka, Poka Yoke) and 6-Sigma project development
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Pro-E / CREO / AutoCAD proficiency.
