Title:

Program Manager, Advanced Programs

KBR is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our team! This position supports E-2 Hawkeye Airborne Command and Control Systems Program Office (PMA-231) for future capability development activities. This is an on-site position located in KBR's Lexington Park, MD office. Anticipated travel requirement will be less 20%.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • This position resides within KBR's Advanced Programs team and is direct support to the government's Advanced Development and Integration product teams.
  • The selected candidate will apply operational weapons system and tactics employment experience during system development activities and will advise the program team on matters related to acquisition strategies, contract strategies, budget planning and contract execution.
  • The selected candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to senior program leadership on future science & technology initiatives to mature the program's long-range and mission system roadmap.
  • The candidate will represent the program to external Science & Technology science & technology (S&T) project sponsors and coordinating program offices to mature S&T programs through capability development into fielded systems.
  • This position will entail additional KBR team leadership and supervisory duties and support internal KBR new business pursuits.


Basic Qualifications

  • An undergraduate bachelor's degree in a technical disciple with a minimum of 15+ years professional work experience.
  • Past or current designation as an E-2 Hawkeye Combat Information Center Officer (CICO) / Mission Commander (MC).
  • 5+ years DoD Acquisition program management experience leading Science and Technology (S&T) and Research & Development (R&D) air vehicle or mission system integration projects.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Graduate degree in an engineering or business management disciple
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Program Management certification or Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Demonstrated senior acquisition leadership role within an Acquisition Category I naval aviation program management office.


Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Active Top Secret security clearance is required.
  • Applicant must have a recent Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years.
  • The selected applicant will be subject to ongoing government security investigation and must maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
