RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Quality Assurance Testing Analyst in Birmingham, AL.
Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Testing Analyst IV to support testing and quality delivery for a major digital banking product, which provides customers with personalized financial insights within their accounts. The successful candidate will work within a cross-functional digital team and collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and leadership to ensure high-quality releases.
This is a senior-level, hands-on QA role that blends manual and light automation testing. The ideal consultant will bring both technical depth and consultative influence, helping drive best practices in testing across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and execute functional, regression, and integration testing for mobile and API-based applications
* Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts
* Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure clear understanding of requirements and testing scope
* Provide thought leadership and proactive input on testing strategy, standards, and process improvement
* Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, ensuring timely resolution
* Participate in test planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives to improve delivery quality and efficiency
* Partner with other QA and development teams to promote consistent and scalable testing practices
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of quality assurance experience
* Strong background in manual testing for mobile and API-based applications
* Experience with qTest and Jira for test management and defect tracking
* Knowledge of API testing and integration concepts and tools
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, raise concerns proactively, and communicate effectively with technical and business teams
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Banking and/or financial industry testing experience
* Experience with Selenium or other automation frameworks (nice to have)
* Understanding of Azure DevOps, ALM, or other enterprise test management tools
* Proven success working in agile or hybrid agile environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
