Opportunity Overview:
The Head of Emerging Martech will lead the strategic development and implementation of cutting-edge marketing technologies, automation frameworks, and generative AI solutions, with the proven ability to make strategic bets on emerging technology and connect new technology to existing firm priorities. Reporting to the Head of Martech, Insights, and Analytics, this role will drive innovation to deliver firm growth, optimize client and financial advisor (FA) outcomes, enable efficient marketing operations, and deliver measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a best-in-industry understanding of emerging AI technology, LLM, marketing technology, marketing automation platforms, and AI-driven tools, coupled with a strong ability to align these capabilities with organizational goals.

Salary Information
Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. What you'll do:
- Establish and implement strategic framework for marketing innovation, automation, and generative AI, and consistently make smart strategic bets in new technology to invest in.
- Partner with Segment CMEO's and Senior leaders to establish and implement a multi-year roadmap for transforming experience brand marketing (EBM), leveraging marketing innovation and generative AI to be a growth engine for the firm. Consistently leverage deep understanding of firm and segment priorities to make decisions on new technology.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of marketing innovation.
- Lead the selection, deployment, and optimization of marketing automation platforms and generative AI tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven solutions into existing EBM workflows and campaigns.
- Foster a culture of experimentation by piloting new technologies and approaches to enhance client experiences and EBM efficiency.
- Develop frameworks for testing and scaling innovative solutions across the organization.
- Ensure marketing innovation initiatives and measurable, with clear KPIs and ROI tracking.
- Identify, build and manage marketing innovation and marketing AI capabilities within EBM to service to segment and firm value creation.
- Collaborate with Martech Ops function to drive alignment of longer term roadmap and integration of strategic horizon opportunities - Drive alignment with overall firmwide AI roadmap and drive advocacy for marketing driven outcomes.

Position Requirements
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in marketing technology, automation, or AI-driven solutions.
- 5+ years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record of leading innovative marketing initiatives and driving measurable results. Venture capital (VC) experience in AI a plus.
- Deep understanding of marketing technology ecosystems, including automation platforms, CRM systems and customer data platforms (CDPs).
- Expertise in generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, DALL-E, MidJourney) and their applications in marketing.
- Knowledge of data analytics, machine learning and predictive modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing.
- Awareness of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and ethical considerations in AI usage.
