Location: 100% on-site in North Charleston, SC
Schedule: Candidates must be open to work 1st shift (6am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (2:30pm-11pm), or 3rd shift (11pm-6am)
*We can note candidate's shift preference, but cannot guarantee the preferred shift will be assigned at the time of offer.
Contract Duration: 12 month contract-to-permanent hire opportunity
Pay Rate: $50 - $53/hour (depending upon experience)
Position Overview:In this role, you will review and validate product non-conformances, perform analysis to evaluate product quality, and conduct failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components. Additionally, you will train and mentor fellow employees, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective/preventive actions.
Position Responsibilities:- Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
- Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes. Guides the review of production plans.
- Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
- Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of nonconformance. Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field.
- Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives.
- Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
- Provides oversight of the corrective/preventive action plans to assure timely completion.
- Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes.
- Provides direction for validation of corrective action to assure causes of nonconformance has been eliminated.
- Monitors the groups' performance of the verification activity.
- Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal /external distribution.
- Works under general supervision.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):- 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- 3+ years of experience in a role that required you to analyze and summarize raw data from various sources, and recommend executable action plans
- 3+ years of experience in Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)
- 3+ years of experience working with Velocity
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Experience working with CMES
- Experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment
- Boeing 787 Program Experience
- 3+ years of experience working on MRB (Materials Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures
- Aerospace, Aviation, Fabrication, Manufacturing, or Automotive experience
