Job Details

Position: Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC ( Onsite - 5 Days )
Duration: 24 Months Contract + 12 Months Possible Extension
Only W2 role - No C2C or 3rd Party Applicants

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer (10+ years total QA experience) to lead advanced test automation and mobile testing initiatives within our digital banking platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on Playwright expertise along with strong mobile testing and financial services background. This role requires a thought leader in quality engineering who can optimize automation frameworks, improve testing processes, and ensure top-tier delivery in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead test strategy, planning, execution, and automation for complex digital banking applications.
  • Implement robust automation frameworks using Playwright, including:
    • API mocking & network stubbing
    • Handling flaky tests and improving test reliability
    • Cross-browser testing coverage
    • Parallel execution for scale and speed
  • Conduct mobile testing (responsive & native applications) across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform API, UI, regression, and functional testing across web and mobile banking solutions.
  • Manage defect lifecycle, root cause analysis, and ensure accountability for resolution.
  • Provide rotational 24x7 on-call production support.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of QA / Software Testing experience.
  • 8+ years in Test Automation.
  • 2+ years of strong Playwright expertise (API mocking, flaky test handling, cross-browser, parallel execution).
  • 2+ years of Mobile Testing experience (responsive web & native apps).
  • Proven Banking / Financial Services domain testing experience.
  • Strong with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and database testing (including synthetic data).
  • Hands-on experience in containerized environments (Kubernetes) and integrating automation into CI/CD.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with React, TailwindCSS, NextJS (or similar frameworks).
  • Familiarity with Storybook, viTest, or other automation tools.
  • Knowledge of performance testing & continuous deployment.
