RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Back End Engineer II to join their team in Mountain View, CA.
Duties:
We are looking for a creative problem-solver who will support and enhance the state of the art AI capabilities which enables our Data and AI practitioners to efficiently embed Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning into our product portfolio and business to create smarter products, improve anti-fraud and security, and enhance customer care. As a Back End Engineer, you will work with data and ML engineers, technical program managers, other business data analysts, product managers and architects to mature the platform capabilities of the clients Core AI platform. Duties:
* Work cross functionally with MLEs, data scientists, and engineers to understand, implement, and redeploy ML pipelines
* Model Deployment: Deploy machine learning models, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and performant in a production setting
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Actively participate in brainstorming sessions with team members to define technical requirements and develop innovative approaches
* Effectively communicate and Interact with a variety of data sources, working closely with peers and partners to refine features from the underlying data and build end-to-end pipelines
REQUIREMENTS:
* BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* At least 2 years of Industry experience as ML Ops, ML Engineer or Data Engineer
* Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and the design of large-scale, resilient distributed systems
* Expert-level knowledge of backend software development, with strong proficiency in Python and SQL
* Proven experience in Data Engineering, including the design and implementation of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehousing solutions
* Solid understanding of the end-to-end MLOps lifecycle, from data ingestion and feature engineering to model deployment and monitoring
* Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and large-scale data processing tools (Spark)
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including engineers, scientists, and partners
* A platform engineering mindset, demonstrating active ownership of services, a drive for long-term technical maturity, and a commitment to continuous learning and innovation
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
