How You Will Make An Impact
- Lead and support the design, configuration, and implementation of Vertex O Series, Oracle R12, and Worksight platforms for sales and use tax automation.
- Collaborate with business units and implementation teams to gather tax requirements and align them with system capabilities.
- Validate transaction flows, troubleshoot system issues, and correct tax treatment logic across platforms.
- Develop functional specifications for tax engine integrations and manage indirect tax system configurations.
- Provide advisory support for tax determination tools and compliance procedures impacted by legal or business changes.
- Support go-lives, upgrades, regression testing, and ongoing system maintenance for tax configuration tools.
- Act as the primary liaison with third-party vendors and partners for system enhancements and troubleshooting.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and implement necessary system and process updates.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and analytics to track tax compliance, risk areas, and automation success.
- Deliver training and support to internal teams and stakeholders to enhance understanding and system use.
Are You a Tax Technology Rock Star?
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in Tax Technology projects, ideally in a multinational enterprise.
- Strong technical understanding of indirect tax legislation and compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle R12, Vertex O Series, and Worksight.
- Experience managing ERP/tax engine integrations, testing cycles, and system upgrades.
- Skilled in project management, indirect tax configuration, and content updates.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL for automation and analytics.
- Experience conducting tax research and analysis for implementation strategies.
- Background in managing third-party service providers and external technology partnerships.
