IT Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support and maintain the organization’s IT systems. This role ensures smooth operation of desktops, laptops, servers, and network devices while delivering excellent end-user service. The IT Support Specialist will collaborate with teams across the organization to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and support technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues.

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.

• Monitor system performance and assist with backups, updates, and security patches.

• Troubleshoot network connectivity, latency, and software problems.

• Assist in deploying and supporting business applications.

• Document incidents, solutions, and procedures in the IT ticketing system.

• Support end-user training and adoption of new technologies.

• Collaborate with IT teams on projects, upgrades, and process improvements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in IT support or a related technical role.

• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.

• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN).

• Experience with common productivity software and IT ticketing systems.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred

• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft MCSA.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure).

• Basic experience with system administration or server support.
