Job Title: Agile Scrum Master
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 Months
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to lead and facilitate Agile practices across a large-scale program. The Scrum Master will guide teams through all Agile ceremonies, foster continuous improvement, remove obstacles, and ensure alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, servant leader, and experienced coach with proven expertise in Agile practices and tools.
Key Responsibilities
Guide and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospectives).
Ensure adherence to the Scrum framework and promote a shared understanding across the team.
Identify and proactively remove impediments that hinder team progress.
Act as a shield for the team from external distractions and interferences.
Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles, practices, and continuous improvement.
Support the Product Owner in backlog refinement and maintaining clarity of priorities.
Promote effective communication and collaboration within the team and across stakeholders.
Facilitate conflict resolution while fostering a positive and high-performing team environment.
Track, analyze, and report Agile metrics to measure team performance and maturity.
Ensure that increments delivered meet the Definition of Done and align with business objectives.
Leverage Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar) to maintain workflow visibility and transparency.
Basic Qualifications
Active Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Bachelor s degree and 8+ years of experience supporting large-scale programs or projects.
Deep knowledge of Agile Scrum techniques, ceremonies, and artifacts (user stories, definition of done, automated testing, backlog refinement).
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies for project management.
5+ years of hands-on experience in an Agile role/environment.
Ability to balance competing priorities under pressure with resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with system engineering lifecycle concepts, architectural frameworks, and delivering working solutions.
Certifications (Required)
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent.
Advanced Scrum certification(s) (e.g., A-CSM, CSP).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Federal Government projects or programs.
PMI-ACP certification.
Familiarity with Microsoft tools such as Power Platform, M365, and cloud applications.
Expertise with Atlassian suite products.
