We are seeking to hire a Mainframe COBOL / ALC (Assembler) Data Transformation Analyst to join our team working on a multi-year award we have within a Federal Gov t Agency, to modernize their older Mainframe systems into modern technologies.
This role is 80% onsite, requiring 1 day per week in the office that is located in Dallas (Grand Prairie) TX.
Being a US Cit only is required for passing the Security Clearance (no Dual Citizenship).
This position pays a strong salary package with full benefits (including choice of healthcare plans, dental, vision, life insurance, 3 weeks PTO, 11 Paid Federal Holidays, and a matching 401k).
An option for working on an hourly rate is also available for those not needing a full benefits package.
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience with COBOL and ALC (Assembler) coding is the core skill requirement. While this role will not involve any actual coding, the ability to read COBOL and ALC code and understand the logic in the older Mainframe applications is critical to the success of this project. This role will focus on understanding the old code and programs and assist with transforming the same business logic and functionality of the applications that are being replicated in the new system using more modern technologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with a team is also critical.
- Ability to pass a background check and Federal Security clearance. Can start working before full clearance, but must be able to pass the clearance over time.
- Most live in the Dallas TX area to be able to commute into the office 1 day per week.
