Description

C++ Software Engineer (Industrial Control Systems)

Job Duties:

Design and implement complex real-time C++ code for industrial control systems.

Test and evaluate new interface and IO systems to support operational requirements.

Support, maintain, and document software functionality for machine controls and electro-mechanical systems.

Skills/Qualifications:

Required:

Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD).

Experience developing code in C/C++ for real-time systems.

Capability to independently set up test systems (hardware and software) to test developed code.

Understanding of Industrial Automation concepts like Failsafe, I/O, timing, etc.

Experience with software configuration management and source control systems.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Strongly Desired:

Experience with RTOS systems like IntervalZero RTX or similar.

Programming and interfacing with PLC systems.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement complex real-time C++ code for industrial control systems.

Test and evaluate new interface and IO systems to support operational requirements.

Support, maintain, and document software functionality for machine controls and electro-mechanical systems.

Understand and apply Industrial Automation concepts like Failsafe, I/O, timing, etc.

Experience with software configuration management and source control systems.

Set up test systems (hardware and software) independently to test developed code.

Develop and program code in C/C++ for real-time systems.

Utilize skills in C# - Sharp, C++, Motion control, Real-Time.

Experience with RTOS systems like IntervalZero RTX or similar is highly desirable.

Programming and interfacing with PLC systems is an advantage.

Requirements

Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Engineer

Demonstrated proficiency in 'C# - Sharp' and 'C++'

Experience in 'Motion control' is required

Must have a strong background in 'Real-Time' systems

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proven track record in managing multiple projects simultaneously
