Are you creative problem solver with a deep understanding of the technical challenges that arise from developing on multiple platforms?We are seeking a Lead Build Engineer to spearhead the build systems and pipelines that support multiple AAA studios developing cutting-edge games in Unreal Engine. As the Build Lead, you will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable, and efficient CI/CD pipelines that empower our studios to deliver world-class games. You will lead a specialized team responsible for unblocking developers, ensuring build stability, and optimizing iteration workflows across multiple concurrent titles.This is a pivotal role where engineering excellence meets operational reliability. You'll collaborate closely with studio tech directors, infrastructure teams, and production leadership to ensure a seamless experience for all Unreal-powered studios under our banner.

What you'll do:
  • Architect and maintain scalable, reliable build systems supporting multiple studios.
  • Develop and manage centralized tools, licensing and build infrastructure (e.g Team City, Horde, Cloud DDC integration, etc..).
  • Design seamless workflows between Perforce, tools, and build tooling to optimize iteration speed.
  • Build developer-friendly interfaces for accessing builds, debugging tools, and automation.
  • Partner with game tools teams to create and integrate custom tools into the build and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Oversee AWS-based infrastructure for 100s of build machines and studio-specific Perforce environments.
  • Define standards and best practices for performance, observability, and maintainability of build pipelines.
  • Innovate with emerging build technologies, cloud and AIProvide technical leadership and mentorship across studio teams.
  • Serve as a liaison between centralized platform teams and game teams to ensure alignment of build and release needs.

What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading and coaching hardworking software developers
  • Proven experience on solutioning in AWS8+ years in build/release engineering or infrastructure roles in games or large-scale software environments, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior technical role.
  • Expertise with Perforce (Helix Core) and experience automating interactions with source control in pipelines.
  • Experience with Unreal and game engines, C++, Python, Perforce, TeamCity, Horde and other build related tools
  • You are proactive with the ability to write readable code, problem solve and debug.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and proven ability to work with diverse groups of people in various roles
  • Deep understanding of modern CI/CD platforms and build orchestration tools.
  • AI awareness, and application in day to day development practices.

Compensation Range, Currency USD:
  • Starting Pay Range: $157,800
  • Pay Range End: $236,600
