Description
Senior Computer Network Support Specialist
Our client seeks a highly qualified Global Senior Computer Network Support Specialist to provide outstanding customer service supporting Global Activities in several countries worldwide. Global Activities supports networks which include network infrastructure, file servers, and messaging systems. As a Network engineer, you will support foreign nationals daily, including the administration, maintenance, and problem-solving for these systems. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to address Country Directors, Local IT, and Customers.
The employee assigned to Atlanta, GA area should be a and be willing to travel up to 50% of the time, providing 24x7 operation on-call support.
Role and Responsibilities:
Overseeing global operations services for major tasks
Lead SME showcasing extensive network expertise, collaborating with customers to develop new skills and enhance technical capabilities.
Install, upgrade, operate, and monitor LAN systems and servers in a Microsoft environment (CISCO certification preferred).
Configure and implement applications on LAN file servers. Manage disk storage and backups effectively.
Maintain network management utilities and audit trails.
Communicate with Country Directors, ITA, and customers.
Travel internationally and domestically, 2-3 weeks per month.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Typically requires at least ten years of relevant experience without a degree, 4+ years of relevant experience with an Undergraduate Degree, 3+ years of relevant experience with a Graduate Degree.
Specific Skills:
4+ years of working experience managing various server and network equipment, including Cisco networking configuration and installation.
4+ years of working experience as a network and server administrator with skills in various network infrastructure areas, including Windows Server, AD, VMWare, Citrix, Cisco networks, Windows Hyper V, application installation, and support.
3+ years of working experience with M365 products.
3+ years of working experience and ability to develop and maintain network standards and procedures.
2+ years of working experience in maintaining cloud computing systems.
Desired Skills:
4+ years of working experience evaluating emerging network technologies.
4+ years of working experience in a large enterprise environment as a systems or network engineer.
4+ years of working experience installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintaining Cisco routers and switches, including the latest Cisco routers and switches.
4+ years of working experience installing, troubleshooting, and configuring firewalls.
Demonstrates knowledge of implementing and managing provisioning suites (e.g., DHCP, DNS).
4+ years of working experience using network analysis tools (network sniffers) to assist in identifying and resolving problems on-site and remotely.
2+ years of working experience with Meraki Wireless helpful. Equivalent CISCO wireless experience is acceptable.
Additional Information:
The position requires working in many 3rd-World Countries requiring appropriate international travel precautions.
Physical Requirements:
Candidate must be able to lift computers and printers weighing up to 50 lbs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $46.83/hr.
