Job Details

Role: Observability Engineer Location: Remote, USA

Data Reliability Engineer with ETL- Informatica
Data Observability engineer/ Data SRE rather than a traditional SRE.
Observability engineering (metrics/logs/traces, tooling like Grafana/Splunk/OTel/Prometheus)
Data engineering visibility (ETL, lineage, data movement monitoring)
SRE principles (incident response, RCA, automation, reliability)
Hybrid/SaaS/on-prem integration monitoring
Vendor-driven change management

Tech Skills: JD
1. Strong experience with observability tools (Grafana / Splunk / Prometheus)
Familiarity with distributed tracing (Appd, OpenTelemetry)
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation (ansible)
2. ETL and Integration experience
Strong understanding of data lineage, data quality, multi step integration orchestration
Familiarity with microservices, API integrations, event driven architecture, Kafka/MQ
monitor and troubleshoot horizontal data movement across SAAS, hybrid, on-prem
Ability to visualize and monitor complex data flows across multiple systems
3. SAAS Platform support
Experience managing SAAS-to-SAAS internal to external, and vendor to in-house integrations
Ability to support vendor driven changes and maintain observability coverage
4. Cloud and Platform engineering
Openshift, Kubernetes and containerized environments
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
5. Database & SQL
Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Strong knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks
