Senior AI Engineer

The Staff AI Engineer will be a core member of the engineering leadership team and a true force multiplier across product and platform pods. They will serve as the AI subject-matter expert for both technology and business leaders guiding decisions, evaluating opportunities, and ensuring AI solutions deliver measurable business value. This is a hybrid/remote (Tues-Thurs onsite) position located in Dallas.

COMP: Up to $190K + 20% Bonus

WHAT YOU LL DO:

• Lead AI strategy & execution across the enterprise, integrating real-world AI solutions into business workflows using platforms like AWS Bedrock, Claude, AWS Comprehend, Rekognition, Salesforce Einstein, AgentForce, etc.
• Partner directly with senior technology and business executives to identify AI opportunities, evaluate vendors, lead POCs, develop recommendations, and guide successful delivery.
• Balance hands-on engineering with architecture leadership, embedding with delivery pods to guide design, development, and execution of high-impact initiatives.
• Translate business strategy into scalable, resilient, and future-ready technical architectures.
• Drive engineering excellence across code quality, deployment velocity, observability, reliability, and recovery.
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration, aligning engineering teams and business stakeholders on priorities, scope, and change management.
• Mentor and elevate engineers by sharing knowledge, broadening perspectives, and encouraging thoughtful decision-making beyond individual domains.
• Identify gaps in engineering practices and lead initiatives to mature capabilities across teams.
• Contribute to Technology Architecture Guild, helping align architectural decisions with long-term business goals.
• Evaluate, select, and manage technologies and vendors to meet evolving business needs.
• Partner with Security to promote a security-first mindset, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

WHAT YOU LL BRING:

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience
• 5+ years in senior or staff-level engineering leadership roles

• Proven, production-level experience with AI technologies like LLMs, RAG, MCP & machine learning models
• Strong prompt engineering skills to maximize LLM effectiveness
• Experience building reusable frameworks, toolkits, and reference architectures
• Deep knowledge of modern software development: RESTful APIs, distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, observability, infrastructure as code
• Expertise in technologies such as JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, and modern cloud platforms
• Strong DevOps mindset with experience supporting mission-critical systems at scale

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills able to influence, persuade, and present with confidence at the executive level
