RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of an Interface Lead in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary contact for 20+ external partners and vendors for file exchange and API interface activities
* Lead planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of MMIS interfaces
* Gather and analyze technical requirements to ensure seamless data exchange
* Manage the full interface lifecycle: onboarding, changes, enhancements, testing, deployment, and support
* Coordinate troubleshooting and development with internal technical, infrastructure, security, and business teams
* Define and enforce standards for data formats, protocols, routing, and transport mechanisms
* Monitor daily file and API transactions for timely delivery, accuracy, and SLA compliance
* Lead root cause analysis and resolution of interface issues and data discrepancies
* Ensure secure exchange of SSA, PHI, and other sensitive data in line with HIPAA and state privacy regulations
* Conduct integration, regression, and UAT testing with external partners
* Manage partner communications for deployments, outages, upgrades, and incidents
* Maintain documentation including specifications, data mappings, process flows, runbooks, and support guides
* Collaborate with infrastructure teams on certificates, firewall/security updates, VPNs, gateways, and SFTP/API environments
* Recommend improvements for interface automation, monitoring, and efficiency
* Mentor and provide technical leadership to Interface Analysts and support staff
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, IT
* Over 10 years of IT experience with expertise in MMIS interface leadership, design, and support
* Strong technical knowledge of infrastructure, hosting environments, and integration standards
* Extensive experience in interface architecture, design, development, and data modeling
* Proficient in SOAP/Web Services, XML standards, and enterprise data exchange patterns
* Hands-on experience with secure file exchange protocols like SFTP
* Skilled in developing business and technical requirements, interface specifications, and documentation
* Proficient in SQL for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting
* Experienced in API/web service testing using tools like SoapUI, including test planning and execution
* Solid understanding of encryption, security protocols, and Unix/Linux environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
