Business Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Business Analysts to join a global insurance company for a 6 month contract to potential hire opportunity in Jersey City, New Jersey. The position is on-site 1 day per week.

Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:

• Act as liaison between IT department, system integrators, and business teams.
• Develop, analyze, and document business requirements for system enhancements.
• Design customer-focused documentation for software solutions (e.g., Wireframes, Use Cases, business rules).
• Participate in system design and configuration activities.
• Extract business rules and perform analysis as it relates to the existing systems and workflows
• Perform and support system testing efforts
• Assist in the estimation of work and communicate with the project owner

Qualifications of the Business Analyst:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
• Experience as a Business Analyst in Commercial Property/Casualty insurance.
• Extensive experience with software applications, including Microsoft Office & Asana.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work autonomously.
• Good interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication.
• Experience with at least one policy administration or CRM system is a must.
• Experience using Salesforce and Instec is a plus.
• Knowledge of XML and JSON is a plus.

Compensation for the Business Analyst:

• Hourly Rate: $45.00 - $55.00 an hour, depending on experience.
• Comprehensive benefit package: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO. Sick leave as required by law.
