Lead Associate Principal, Cloud Engineering

Must Haves:

1. Kubernetes cluster creation, maintenance, support, admin experience.

2. Deep understanding of Kubernetes networking, runtime security, RBAC

3. Must have experience on AWS. Must have Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform

4. Must have experience writing code in at least one of the programming languages: GO or Python. [GO preferred]

Note: Candidate will be evaluated/tested with hands-on coding tests during the technical interview phase on each or most of these above mentioned skills. So they must be honest on the questions above to be respectful of everyone's time.

Extremely Preferred:

Kubernetes Operator/Controller Development:

1. We prefer somebody who has done Kubernetes operator/controller development (either via contributions to open-source CNCF projects or written in-house k8s operators)

2. If the candidate has contributed to open-source CNCF projects then we prefer that they share the link of their github profile on their resume or link some notable Pull Requests in their resume.

Reason: We are actively developing in-house operators and need additional contributors with operator framework expertise.

Nice to Have:

1. Rancher/RKE2 Kubernetes flavor Experience

2. CKA/CKAD/CKS certifications

3. Service mesh/envoy experience

4. Multi-tenancy implementations

5. CD using GitOps- FluxCD/ArgoCD/Rancher Fleet

SALARY: $160k - $185k plus 15% bonus

3days onsite and 2 days remote

Manage DevOps development activities and complex development tasks that will involve working with tools such as Docker, Kafka and container management systems

Lead and participate in cloud computing environment build-outs, software installation, maintenance and support, including but not limited to, patches, fixes, end-of-life preparation, and upgrades

Ensure the reliability of the services your area of responsibility provide and manage to both specific and implied SLAs to help the organization achieve both internal and external quality standard excellence for the cloud platform

Technical Skills & Background

[Required] Strong hands-on experience scripting/development skills in Python, Ruby, Go, Java, JavaScript, etc. in a corporate environment

[Required] Hands-on experience with: Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Kafka, Github, OpenShift, and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible

[Required] Relevant experience with configuration and implementation of IaaS, Infrastructure as code, AWS, Azure, etc.

Certifications

[Required] AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification or higher strongly desired

[Preferred] Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud

Education & Training

[Required] Bachelor s degree, preferably in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.), or equivalent combination of education and experience required

[Required] 7+ years experience in IT systems installation, operations, administration, and maintenance of cloud systems / virtualized servers

[Preferred] Experience working in a financial services or highly regulated environment preferred
