Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Server Administrator / Subject Matter Expert (SME). This role focuses on Active Directory (AD) domain join/unjoin operations for Linux servers and DNS configuration management, ensuring seamless connectivity and stability across multiple data centers. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Linux environments, DNS troubleshooting, and ITAR compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Execute domain join/unjoin operations for Linux servers during AD migration.
Configure and manage DNS settings to ensure proper name resolution and domain integration.
Validate Linux server readiness and ensure compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AD integration, DNS resolution, authentication, and connectivity.
Perform pre-migration checks and coordinate planned downtime for mission-critical applications.
Collaborate with Honeywell engineering teams for post-migration OT functionality checks.
Document migration steps, DNS changes, issues, and resolutions for audit and compliance purposes.

Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of hands-on experience in Linux server administration.
Strong expertise in domain join/unjoin operations for Linux systems.
Advanced knowledge of DNS configuration and troubleshooting in Linux environments.
Proficiency in troubleshooting Linux server issues related to AD and DNS integration.
Familiarity with Red Hat, CentOS, or similar Linux distributions.
Ability to work in high-availability environments with mission-critical applications.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with large-scale Linux migrations in OT/IT environments.
Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies for Linux servers.
Familiarity with ITAR compliance processes.
Exposure to Kerberos, LDAP, and DNS best practices in enterprise environments.
