IT Business Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst who thrives in Agile environments and enjoys bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This hybrid role combines the strategic insight of a Business Analyst with the facilitation expertise of a Scrum Master. You will work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive digital initiatives forward-ensuring clarity in requirements, efficiency in delivery, and excellence in execution.

Business Analyst Duties:
* Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business and technical needs into clear, actionable user stories
* Own and manage the Azure DevOps (ADO) backlog-prioritize, refine, and prepare stories for upcoming sprints
* Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) from the business side, including planning, oversight, and issue resolution
* Deliver milestone updates and sprint summaries to both business and technical audiences
* Coordinate testing, feedback, and change management activities to ensure successful feature rollouts

Scrum Master Duties:
* Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
* Serve as a servant leader-identify and remove blockers to maintain team momentum
* Track sprint health, team velocity, and workflow efficiency; Proactively suggest improvements
* Promote Agile best practices and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture
* Support the Product Owner in defining sprint goals and aligning stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years of experience in a hybrid Business Analyst/Scrum Master role, preferably within digital or web-focused teams
* Hands-on experience with enterprise websites, digital marketing platforms, and CMS tools (AEM is a strong plus)
* Familiarity with UX principles, SEO basics, QA/testing processes, and digital analytics
* Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and proven ability to lead Agile delivery cycles
* Proficient in Azure DevOps or similar tools for backlog and sprint management
* Skilled in writing clear user stories and defining acceptance criteria
* Strong facilitation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
* Agile certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PSM) preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
