Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing electrical control systems for industrial machinery, specifically related to closing tools.
- Developing and implementing PLC programming and HMI interfaces.
- Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues in existing equipment and new designs.
- Creating and maintaining detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
- Collaborating with mechanical engineers and other cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
- Participating in the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and design to testing, installation, and ongoing support.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Researching and evaluating new electrical components, technologies, and methodologies to enhance product performance and efficiency.
- Providing technical support and training to production and maintenance teams.
- Conducting root cause analysis for electrical failures and implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications
We're looking for candidates with a strong background in electrical engineering, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in industrial automation, control systems, and machinery design.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell Automation, Siemens).
- Experience with HMI development.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control panel layouts.
- Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 79).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Prior experience with CAD software for electrical design is a plus.
