The Role:

Do you imagine a world of zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion? We do. We place our customers at the center of everything we do, and we are creating vehicles that move humanity to that goal. To reach this ambitious goal we need to create a modern vehicle computing platform that is capable to integrate all the advanced features like active safety, driving assistance systems, infotainment, connectivity, and vehicle motion. This new platform shall seamlessly connect in-vehicle computing controls with cloud and edge computing resources. Join the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) organization today!

We are looking for a high-performing Sensor Alignment Software Architect who is responsible for leading the development and design of next generation sensing alignment strategy. This role will involve rapid prototyping, specifying requirements, generating embedded designs to satisfy the alignment requirements for autonomous software applications while determining strategy to fit in a tightly coupled embedded system. This architect will work with both algorithm design engineers as well as implementation engineers to create a comprehensive yet cohesive product.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop requirements to determine key performance indicators for sensor alignment to satisfy downstream capabilities
  • Create measurable metrics to assess algorithms to quantify performance against KPI
  • Devise guidelines for software implementation to ensure implementation is viable given hardware constraints
  • Work on different sensors such as camera, LiDAR, radar, GNSS/IMU etc.
  • Provide technical leadership on the AV and active safety features to personnel supporting the assigned project
  • Support the development of sensing software requirements
  • Lead test driven development cycles and maintain high fidelity of code base and ensure code base matches KPI in production environment
