Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid - 3-4 times per month)
Type: Contract-to-Hire

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead a large-scale healthcare program focused on launching a new healthcare benefit product. This Contract-to-Hire role requires someone who can operate in a dynamic environment, manage multiple complex workstreams, and effectively collaborate with both business and technical teams. The ideal candidate will bring deep program management expertise, exceptional communication skills, and hands-on leadership abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a large, multi-track program related to new healthcare benefit product development and launch.
  • Oversee multiple workstreams and coordinate efforts across cross-functional teams, including business, technical, and vendor partners.
  • Partner with senior leadership and stakeholders to align program goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Provide structure, visibility, and governance across program activities.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, issues, and milestones to ensure successful program execution.
  • Collaborate with and support multiple Project Managers working within the broader program.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise communication and program updates to stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in program/project management environments.
  • Minimum 3 years leading large, complex programs with multiple tracks/workstreams.
  • Healthcare industry experience (payer/product) strongly preferred.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating business, technical, and vendor teams.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to work in hybrid environments and manage onsite expectations (3-4 times per month).
