Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level OCI Onshore Lead to manage and oversee Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) delivery, operations, and coordination with offshore teams. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on knowledge of OCI services, infrastructure deployment, governance, cloud security standards, and enterprise workload support combined with leadership, communication, and escalation management skills.
This role includes guiding engineering teams, leading operational excellence, overseeing migrations, platform enhancements, and acting as the primary onshore point of contact for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead OCI platform operations and serve as onshore escalation point for delivery and support teams.
- Coordinate with offshore/onshore resources to ensure SLA compliance, platform stability, and operational continuity.
- Oversee OCI provisioning activities including compute, networking, IAM, storage, OKE, and database services.
- Support cloud migration initiatives including discovery, planning, cutover, and hypercare.
- Ensure adherence to best practices around security, tagging standards, tenancy structure, and governance.
- Monitor OCI health, performance, capacity, cost optimization, and compliance posture.
- Drive documentation quality, operational maturity, process improvement, and automation adoption.
- Present status reports, metrics, risk logs, and stakeholder communication updates.
Required Skills & Experience
14+ years total IT experience
Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including:
- IAM & Federation
- VCN/Subnets, DRG, FastConnect, VPN
- Compute, Storage, Load Balancers
- Object/Block File services
- Monitoring, Logging, Alarms, Security Zones
Experience with Terraform / IaC automation, Resource Manager, GitOps workflows
Cloud governance experience (cost management, quotas, compliance frameworks)
Strong hands-on experience with production support, troubleshooting, and operational procedures
Ability to lead technical discussions and drive resolution across cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills
- OCI Architect Professional or OCI Ops/DevOps certifications
- Knowledge of Exadata Cloud Service, Autonomous DB, or OKE
- Multi-cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform)
- ITIL, SRE, Operations, or Leadership experience
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead global delivery and coordinate across multiple time zones
- Strong decision-making, prioritization, and escalation handling experience
