Responsible for supporting activities that may include:

- SORs and project management for tools, stations or specific technologies.

Typically part of a larger effort or project

- manufacturing process definition

- sequence of operations

- human factors consideration

- efficient material flow

- design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts

- providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources

Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology.

Additional Description

The career level process engineer, able to work autonomously with occasional guidance from supervision. Skilled in equipment/tooling alternatives, sequence and flow of operations for the effective utilization of personnel, material, machines and facilities necessary for the production of parts. Work is performed in a centralized manufacturing engineering activity or assembly/plant activity where creativity and initiative is exercised as well as independent judgment.

The Role:

This position is required to be onsite full time.

As a Paint Process Engineer work is performed in a centralized manufacturing engineering activity or assembly/plant activity where creativity and initiative is exercised as well as independent judgment.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for Paint Automation, up to 100 FANUC robots
  • Responsible for overseeing UAW union hourly employees.
  • Manufacturing process definition
  • Human factors consideration
  • Efficient material flow
  • Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources
  • Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Supervisory experience)
  • 5+ years of PT/ED experience
  • Mechanical experience - ability to troubleshoot process and equipment problems.
  • Ability to independently drive problems to resolution.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical prints.

What Gives You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience with FANUC Robots; P-155, P-200, P-500, P-700, S-500, M-710, M-2000.
