Job Title: IAM Shared Drive Remediation Specialist.
Location: Charlotte, NC
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented IAM Shared Drive Remediation Specialist to lead the analysis and remediation of unauthorized and non-compliant access to enterprise Share Drives. This role is critical in ensuring that file share permissions adhere to the principles of least privilege and support regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of IAM best practices, file system permissions, and exceptional Excel reporting skills to drive and communicate remediation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Share Drive access logs and permission structures to identify inappropriate or excessive access.
- Lead remediation efforts for Share Drive access issues, ensuring alignment with organizational IAM policies.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather and validate access requirements.
- Support the cleanup and standardization of NTFS and Share permissions across business units.
- Generate and maintain detailed tracking reports using Excel with Pivot Tables, Macros, and VLOOKUPs.
- Communicate remediation progress to stakeholders through dashboards and reports.
- Assist in defining and updating governance processes related to file share access control.
- Ensure remediation activities support compliance requirements (SOX, PCI-DSS, etc.).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts, especially as applied to file share and NTFS permissions.
- Experience in access remediation and permission review for Windows-based file shares.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the use of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and Macros.
- Ability to analyze and interpret access data from logs and directory services.
- Strong documentation and communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in information security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Active Directory and group-based access models.
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOX, NIST, or ISO 27001.
- Background in financial services or other regulated industry environments.
- Experience with IAM tools such as SailPoint, Saviynt, or similar platforms.
