Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate must have 5+ years hands-on experienced as a Platform Engineer and Unix System Administrator with extensive knowledge in Software Defined Storage architecture (Open-Source Ceph)
• Experience building collaborative working relationships with stakeholders across development verticals to support technology projects and initiatives
• Experience leading efforts to optimize design, technology, regulatory and/or process standards by leveraging innovative tools and technologies and gaining exposure to industry trends
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Experience setting priorities, objectives, and driving deliverables within own teams aligned with strategic objectives to a global technology domain
• Experience teaming with other technical experts to resolve/ anticipate issues and implement impactful solutions
• Act as a subject matter expert and active participant

Responsibilities

• Manages and maintains platforms by leading day-to-day building, maintaining, and monitoring of system and platform technologies
• Serves as a point of escalation, resolving problems of diverse scopes where analysis of the situation requires in-depth technical evaluation and judgement
• Participates in the planning and implementation of system/platform updates to optimize performance, efficiency, and capacity
• Supports process improvement efforts to identify and test opportunities for automation and/or reduction in time to deployment
• Performs security posture, which includes proactively identifying security risks and implementing both risk mitigation plans and control functions
