Role: Security Technical Analyst

Location: Remote

Duration: W2 Contract

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • 5+ years in security incident response and forensic analysis.
  • Expertise in threat intelligence (IOCs), network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS), and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
  • Proficiency with OS (Windows, Linux), cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), and forensic tools.
  • Preferred: SIEM experience, malware analysis, programming languages.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CCFP (or equivalents like CISM, CISA).

Core Competencies:

  • Analytical thinking, adaptability, strategic communication, and teamwork.
  • Ability to document processes, manage multiple projects, and work independently.

Job Description:

  • The Security Technical Analyst will lead the implementation and execution of technical aspects of client Enterprise Security Plan.
  • The role involves proactive threat identification, incident response, forensic analysis, and mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Threat Management: Proactively identify and assess threats to users, networks, and data; monitor and respond to malicious activity.
  • Incident Response: Investigate security events, demonstrate understanding of threat landscapes, and perform forensic analysis using security tools.
  • Collaboration: Work with business units and partners to mitigate threats; advise the CISO and ESEC Team on security best practices.
  • Documentation: Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training documents, and detailed analysis reports.
  • Project Leadership: Act as Lead/Co-Lead on ESEC projects and represent ESEC in security-related meetings.
  • Mentorship: Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their security knowledge.
