Key Responsibilities:
- Create, validate, and troubleshoot CMM programs while performing precision inspections, including First Article Inspections (FAIs).
- Support Engineering New Product Development through sample measurements, drawing and GD&T reviews, and early measurement evaluations.
- Apply advanced knowledge of GD&T and Metrology principles to ensure products meet specifications and design requirements.
- Resolve technical issues and provide guidance to Operators, Inspectors, and Engineers.
- Train inspectors and technicians on metrology processes and equipment usage.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering to verify the accuracy of setups and programs.
- Lead or participate in special projects related to tooling fixtures and gauges.
- Identify and drive cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Create and troubleshoot CMM programs and ensure validation and verification of measurement systems.
- Provide inspection support across departments and conduct critical part inspections and FAIs.
Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of metrology programs and strong understanding of GD&T, including reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment with mechanical inspection of precision parts.
- Proficient in using inspection equipment, tools, and CMM programming.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
