Description
We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive IT Security Specialist to oversee and enhance network and data security within a hybrid infrastructure environment. This role involves collaborating with global teams to design, implement, and maintain secure systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards. As this is a long-term contract position, we seek someone who is committed to driving security initiatives and delivering sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks across hybrid environments, including on-premises and cloud systems.
Develop and implement secure connectivity frameworks to integrate on-premises, cloud, and third-party systems.
Apply data protection measures such as encryption, secure transfer protocols, and access control mechanisms.
Collaborate with offshore teams to guide and review security configurations for adherence to standards.
Perform risk evaluations and assist in remediating findings from penetration tests and vulnerability scans.
Create and maintain documentation for security architectures, policies, and operational procedures.
Participate in change management processes to ensure secure deployment of applications and infrastructure.
Monitor security alerts and coordinate responses to incidents in collaboration with relevant teams.
Facilitate audits and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and evidence.
Engage with infrastructure and application teams to align on secure design principles.
Requirements
Expertise in network security tools such as firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and intrusion detection systems.
In-depth knowledge of data protection techniques, including encryption and secure data flow management.
Familiarity with cloud security platforms such as Azure or AWS, including identity management and secure network design.
Proven experience in assessing risks and implementing mitigation strategies in hybrid infrastructures.
Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving network and security-related issues.
Excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively with global teams.
Preferred certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert.
Understanding of regulatory frameworks like ISO 27001 and GDPR, as well as DevSecOps practices.
