SOLUTION ARCHITECT - with MONGODB and AWS
Location: REMOTE (EST schedule)
Role: Contract to hire - (open to convert without sponsorship)
Overview
We are seeking a Solution Architect to design and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions across multiple platforms and technologies. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in systems integration, modern cloud technologies, and Agile delivery, with a disciplined and collaborative approach to architecture and execution. This role works closely with product, program, and development teams to shape end-to-end solutions that drive innovation, performance, and customer experience.

- Hands on technical solutioning skills such as directly working with business users to understand the business needs and defining end to end solution to meet their needs.
Required:
- Significant experience with systems integration.
- Experience with design and development of complex systems; employs a disciplined and rigorous approach.
- Adept at requirements analysis, estimation, systems and application design, and testing.
- Familiarity with popular Design Patterns.
- Excellent collaboration, influencing, and consensus-building skills; ability to work effectively with product, program, and development teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision; self-directed.
- Demonstrated success delivering superior software products via Agile methodologies.
- Experience on an Agile team.
- Experience with modern languages and technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, messaging queuing infrastructures, and both cloud and on-premise environments.
- Experience with distributed computing architectures, including race conditions, parallelism, and concurrency control.
- Skilled in facilitating meetings with stakeholders, partners, and teams.
Desired Skills
- Proven experience working on large, complex systems.
- Architectural/technical experience with cloud-native platforms, especially AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB); understands benefits, trade-offs, and data patterns such as sharding and denormalization.
- Architectural/technical experience with Gen AI (RAG frameworks, Vector DBs, embeddings) and/or Conversational AI (IBM WatsonX, Google Dialogflow).
- Experience designing REST APIs that simplify systems integration and improve developer experience.
- Familiarity with SAFe Software Development Principles.
- Experience with distributed caching solutions.
- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with ServiceNow or Salesforce for case management or workflow-based solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Receive epic/feature assignments and direction from train architect.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, BAs, and technical leads to refine requirements.
- Partner with Solution Domain Lead architects to align on cross-domain solutions.
- Work with integration architects to deliver solution artifacts (e.g., sketches, presentations).
- Develop and refine subject matter expertise across business and systems.
- Apply established architecture patterns or create new ones when needed.
- Present solutions to stakeholders, architecture teams, and infrastructure SMEs for review and feedback.
