JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineering
REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker
*Office Worker: In office position with work from home allowed, i.e. flex or hybrid worker
JOB LOCATION: 3400 W. Plano Pkwy., Plano, TX 75075
DUTIES: Lead the software product development life cycle from inception to production launch and post-production support. Design modular and scalable web components. Design and develop multi-platform application systems and utilize current web and Microservices technologies. Write code for automated testing, validation, and design systems using Microservices architecture. Provide performance tuning, monitoring, deployment, and production support. Implement, maintain, and update CICD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and Sonar. Build Java-based high-volume and high-transaction applications and web applications using Java, Spring, and REST. Utilize cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, and Terraform. Identify technical and functional needs of systems based on priority. Define the scope of PI features and estimate t-Shirt size to approximate the required level of effort and solutions for feature implementation. Develop Microservices and database tables. Utilize cached data of applications, APIs, and messaging systems to understand interactions between applications. Create release pipelines, deploy release candidates in non-production environments, test application functionalities, and coordinate release activities. Communicate various initiatives, solution designs, and implementation details for various features internally. Utilize application delivery, Microservices architecture, API best practices, Search, and NOSQL databases.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science or Information Technology and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation designing and developing multi-platform application systems and utilizing current web and Microservices technologies; writing code for automated testing, validation, and design systems using Microservices architecture; implementing, maintaining, and updating CICD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and Sonar; building Java-based high-volume and high-transaction applications and web applications using Java, Spring, and REST; utilizing cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, and Terraform; developing Microservices and database tables; and utilizing cached data of applications, APIs, and messaging systems to understand interactions between applications; and utilizing application delivery, Microservices architecture, API best practices, Search, and NOSQL databases.
