This role is instrumental in architecting, managing, and optimizing Commvault environments to guarantee seamless data availability and integrity across physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructures. Additionally, the engineer plays a vital role in supporting server, storage, and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) systems, ensuring their stability, optimal performance, and seamless integration with backup and recovery workflows.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing comprehensive backup strategies-covering full, incremental, and differential backups-while leveraging advanced orchestration tools to automate recovery workflows and minimize system downtime. The engineer collaborates closely with EMG Systems, Networking, and Security teams to monitor backup performance, swiftly resolve issues, optimize storage utilization, and ensure strict compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Proficiency in Commvault's reporting and analytics capabilities is essential for delivering actionable insights that drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Additionally, this role involves integrating Commvault with other enterprise systems, developing automation scripts using industry-standard tools, and leading disaster recovery planning and testing to meet stringent recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO). This role involves close collaboration with Group and Division leadership, subject matter experts, and third-party vendors to guarantee solutions are aligned with organizational objectives and adhere to industry best practices.

Project Leadership: Lead or co-lead complex and/or global projects and tasks. Delivering business results that meet deadlines. Provide guidance to project resources across multiple teams as needed.
Procedure Development: Develop procedures for the effective utilization of digital and IT technology, both on-premises and cloud-based, ensuring alignment with orchestration and automation practices.
System Analysis: Perform system analysis, interpret data to identify gaps in technology solutions or processes, and make recommendations within the IT and/or business function.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other closely related field and a minimum of four years of experience in backup planning, data management, Commvault administration, disaster recovery solutions, or other related IT roles.
Knowledgeable in client and server operating systems, networking hardware, protocols, and administration, with expertise in DR, and systems integration within highly secure, multi-tiered IT environments.
Experience designing, deploying, and managing virtual machine infrastructure alongside comprehensive backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Commvault. Highly skilled in ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and rapid recovery aligned with organizational recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO).
