Job Description: Cyber Security Architect

Location: Dallas, TX Experience Level: 12+ years

Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to design, implement, and oversee enterprise security solutions that protect critical assets, systems, and data. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Zscaler, Endpoint & Data Security, PKI, and Cloud Access Security with a proven track record of delivering secure architectures for large-scale organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise security architecture strategies aligned with business and IT goals.
  • Architect and deploy secure solutions leveraging Zscaler platforms (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX).
  • Establish and maintain a robust Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for authentication, encryption, and digital signing.
  • Define and enforce endpoint security strategies across laptops, mobile devices, and servers.
  • Implement data security frameworks, including DLP (Data Loss Prevention), encryption, and secure data transfer practices.
  • Collaborate with cloud teams to integrate Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) and Zero Trust principles.
  • Conduct security risk assessments, gap analysis, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain security standards, policies, and architecture documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and security teams.
  • Partner with vendors and stakeholders to evaluate and integrate new security technologies.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5+ years in architecture roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Zscaler technologies (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX).
  • Proven experience with endpoint and data security solutions (EDR, DLP, encryption).
  • Deep understanding of PKI, certificate management, and cryptographic protocols.
  • Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and CASB solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Zero Trust security models.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Zscaler certifications, CISM, or equivalent) highly preferred.
