Job Designation
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for engineering activities for the site, which includes all buildings, grounds, offices, and manufacturing areas and processes. This position will be a major support role for the maintenance and manufacturing departments. Good understanding of the facilities and all operations will be required.
Job Core Responsibilities
Education: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.
Years' Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical engineering with extensive experience in the execution of engineering projects analyzing, planning, organizing and directing facilities implementation, and service/support functions is required.

Job Designation
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for engineering activities for the site, which includes all buildings, grounds, offices, and manufacturing areas and processes. Job Core Responsibilities
- Site Development - Responsible for design functions as required to support building expansions, new equipment installations, forward planning, specifying/designing special machinery, utility systems and new construction within local, state and national codes and regulations as required. This position will place an emphasis on facilities and equipment design. The scope of this emphasis will include building layout, building construction, cooling towers, process piping, HVAC systems, equipment installation, and all plant facilities.
- Projects - Responsible for project engineering (planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost accounting/tracking, purchasing and implementation functions) as required providing timely and cost-effective company facilities and equipment. This includes coordination/liaison effort with outside design firms, construction contractors, machine builders and maintenance vendors.
- Manufacturing Support - Support various manufacturing initiatives and projects as required. This includes new process implementation, process improvement activities including but not limited to automation implementation and improvements.
- Maintenance - Support continual improvement in maintenance operations, which includes skill level development, training programs, problem solving and software development and implementation.
- General - The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be interfacing with groups from various departments and functional organizations. Good leadership and strong interpersonal skills are required. Responsible for fostering a motivating and positive work environment.
- The individual in this position will perform any other tasks properly assigned by Management.

Hard Skills:
- Proficient with 2-D and 3-D modeling (e.g., AutoCAD and SolidWorks)
- Computer skills, including utilization of various software including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Can read and comprehend mechanical and electrical prints
- Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, facilities support systems and equipment
- Safety and environmental practices and regulations
- Experience with control systems (e.g., DeltaV) preferred
- A strong background utilizing lean tools and experience with various problem-solving methods preferred
- Demonstrated expertise with complex mechanical engineering solutions
- Ability to improve products or services by applying professional and business knowledge
- Able to solve complex problems; makes decisions based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
- An acute sensitivity to safety issues in a hazardous environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Must be an independent thinker with the ability to make sound, logical decisions
- Demonstrates ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information
