Job Title: Enterprise Network Consultant (Senior Technical Specialist / Systems Architect)
Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite/Hybrid as required - client discretion)
Duration: 1 Year
Engagement Type: Contract
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM 2:00 PM PST.
Project Overview:
The Client Technology Infrastructure Services Division is migrating existing on-premises network solutions to cloud-based platforms. This engagement seeks a senior-level consultant with expertise in enterprise networking, cloud integration, and modern automation technologies to support and enhance Clients' Investment Office (INVO) network.
The Clients' Investment Office requires additional resources for their existing and newly proposed solutions, all requiring advanced network expertise and resources to consistency support the maintenance/support and critical incident response during extended business hours. The consultant will undertake duties and responsibilities consistent with a senior technology specialist in the support of Clients' existing network technologies and the architecture/design/ support of existing and new INVO cloud solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1: Network Architecture Design
- Design and implement scalable network architecture for Clients' cloud and hybrid environments including platforms like Snowflake, SimCorp, Aladdin, Charles River, Bloomberg, and State Street.
- Ensure high availability and resiliency using automated failover and monitoring mechanisms.
- Integrate Software-Defined Networking (SDN), SD-WAN, NFV technologies, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
2 : Network Engineering & Technology Implementation
- Provide Level II/III support for complex enterprise networking (Firewalls, VPNs, Load Balancers, ISE, IPAM, Wireless, Monitoring Tools). (Experience with enterprise-grade monitoring and access tools like SolarWinds, Cacti, SecureCRT, and Gigamon.)
- Optimize performance and security across all systems.
- Collaborate with INVO partners to ensure seamless integration and connectivity.
3: Knowledge Transfer & Documentation
- Conduct training, knowledge sharing, and documentation of all systems, including SOPs, incident reports, meeting minutes, and test cases.
This roles and responsibilities ensure Clients' network infrastructure is equipped with cutting-edge technologies and operational excellence to support current and future business needs, including integration with BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River, Bloomberg, State Street Bank, and other INVO platforms.
Minimum Qualifications (Evaluation Criteria):
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience designing and implementing network architectures for enterprise-scale environments.
- 5+ years of proven experience in Software Defined Networking (SDN), Software Defined Access (SDA), Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN), Cisco Identity Engine (ISE)
- Proficiency in network protocols/technologies such as: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VPN, MPLS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Routers/Switches.
- Valid Certifications such as: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCDE, PCNSE, NSE9, JNCDA, JNCDS-DC
- Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
