Job Title: IT Analyst (Software License)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Location: Atlanta, GA (100% Remote Candidates must be in Eastern Time Zone; Georgia local preferred)

Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Analyst (Software License) to support software license operations, compliance, procurement, and business process optimization for a leading global client. This role focuses on managing the software licensing portfolio, analyzing usage, mitigating compliance risks, and supporting procurement and regional operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field

3+ years of experience in IT asset or software license management

Strong understanding of software licensing models (subscription, perpetual, concurrent)

Experience working with SaaS licensing requirements

Advanced proficiency with Excel & data analysis

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, & negotiation skills

Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational & problem-solving abilities

Solid understanding of accounting principles

Preferred Skills

ITIL or SAM certification

Experience with major enterprise vendors: Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, Autodesk

Experience with compliance frameworks, audits, and vendor reviews

Strong analytical mindset and familiarity with operational processes & asset management best practices

Key Responsibilities

License Management & Compliance

Maintain accurate software license inventories across the organization

Monitor usage to ensure compliance and prevent overuse/underutilization

Conduct routine license audits and generate compliance reports

Procurement & Renewals

Coordinate with procurement teams and vendors on license purchases and renewals

Track expiration dates and ensure timely renewals

Evaluate cost-effective licensing options and recommend optimizations

Support & Provisioning

Assist IT teams with software license provisioning

Troubleshoot activation/access issues

Maintain documentation on license entitlements

Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration

Work with software vendors to interpret licensing terms and negotiate contracts

Partner with finance and legal teams for budgeting and compliance alignment

Provide training and guidance on licensing policies

Regional (GEO) Support

Support regional teams with contract entry, revenue, and cost allocation

Resolve escalated order processing issues across multiple GEOs

Produce accurate reporting and analysis supporting corporate strategies
