Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Lead with strong expertise in API testing, Selenium, and Playwright. The ideal candidate will manage automation efforts, lead a QA team, and drive testing initiatives across complex enterprise applications. This position requires hands-on technical skills along with leadership and collaboration abilities.

Role, Skills & Experience

  • Lead a team of QA engineers and manage test planning, execution, and delivery for multiple projects.
  • Apply 8 12+ years of QA experience, including 5+ years in automation testing with a focus on API and UI frameworks.
  • Hands-on expertise in API automation using Restful API/Postman and UI test automation with Selenium & Playwright.
  • Build and maintain test strategies, test cases, and automation scripts for regression, functional, and integration testing.
  • Strong knowledge of Java/Python/JavaScript for building and maintaining test frameworks.
  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution using Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, or similar tools.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers, perform code reviews, and enforce testing best practices.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ability to drive QA ceremonies within sprints.
  • Proven experience in working with databases (SQL/Oracle) for backend validation.
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline required. Master s or QA certifications are a plus.

Note: This role requires Day-1 Onsite presence in Chicago, IL. Candidates must be comfortable working in a hybrid office environment.
