Description

SAIC is seeking a Test Engineer on the Horizon 2 Program to support the United States Space Force's Program Executive Office for Space Combat Power. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Fun stuff you will do on the job:
  • Represent a remote acquisitions organization while being geographically co-located with the test organization.
  • Provide Government program office oversight of Government and Contractor test events.
  • Identify and solve problems facing acquisition organization relating to test events and test organizations.
  • Contribute to test organization reviews, test reports, and other documentation required to complete test activities.
  • Document program test strategy and plans, test scenarios and test requirements in development contractor contractual documents and Government program office documentation.
  • Work with development contractors to ensure developmental test objectives are consistent with applicable standards, instruction and policy.
  • Work with Government developmental and operational test agencies/organizations to develop the adequate test methodology consistent with the program manager's expectations and other external stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Participate in test working groups which plan, status, and discuss test related matters.

Qualifications

This is you:
  • Bachelors Degree in a technical degree and 9 years of relevant experience (4 years of additional experience may be used in lieu of degree )with:
    • Technical programs, systems engineering and test policy/execution of large scale space-based and ground-based space systems and/or new start technical demonstration space and ground systems.
    • Test planning, requirements, process, tool and documentation development
    • Department of War Test & Evaluation Standards, Policies, Regulations and Requirements.
    • Space Force operations.
  • In-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Vetting program (if applicable).
  • Willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs; consent to a Polygraph examination.

  • Masters Degree in a technical or management discipline.
  • Self-starter, independent contributor, with proven track record succeeding as remote member of a larger team.
  • ITEA Certified Test & Evaluation Professional and, or INCOSE Certified Systems Engineer Professional credentials.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
