Manufacturing Electrical Engineer (Senior Level 7+ Years)Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Electrical Engineer with strong experience in medical device manufacturing and mandatory experience with the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA). This role supports electrical assembly, testing, supplier management, and product end-of-life activities while ensuring compliance with regulatory, quality, and privacy standards. The engineer will work cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and sustain electrical manufacturing and assembly processes for medical devices
  • Provide hands-on support for electrical assemblies, PCBAs, wiring, test fixtures, and production equipment
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and electrical issues to improve yield and reduce downtime
  • Define and support electrical testing, validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and reliability testing
  • Ensure compliance with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, IEC 60601, and ECPA requirements
  • Manage supplier performance, electrical component qualification, and quality issue resolution
  • Lead component lifecycle and end-of-life (EOL) planning and obsolescence mitigation
  • Maintain manufacturing documentation (BOMs, schematics, work instructions, test procedures)
  • Support audits, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or sustaining engineering within the medical device industry
  • Mandatory experience with Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) compliance
  • Strong expertise in electrical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting in regulated environments
  • Experience with supplier management and component lifecycle/EOL activities
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
