Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer for an on-site, long-term contract opportunity based in Staunton, VA. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role requires hands-on support and technical leadership across a range of network-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle Tier 1 3 network support requests.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders across varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Respond to break/fix requests for network resources.
  • Design and extend network infrastructure in a campus environment.
  • Configure and deploy new or replacement network hardware and communications infrastructure.
  • Maintain up-to-date project and architectural documentation.
  • Keep inventory and maintenance records current.
  • Monitor network resources for faults and traffic anomalies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Track and document changes in the network environment.
  • Support field maintenance teams with communication setup and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in cybersecurity controls and threat defense.
  • Participate in threat hunting and mitigation efforts.
  • Efficiently manage time and resources under operational constraints.
