GovCIO is currently hiring for Systems Administrator Level III/Tools Engineer, for our NIH-CIT proposal. This position is located in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position.

Posted Pay Range

GovCIO is currently hiring for Systems Administrator Level III/Tools Engineer, for our NIH-CIT proposal. This position is located in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position.
Responsibilities
This role's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Mentor junior engineers/analysts on the network tools team Support the Tools Team Lead's objectives
- Assist with reviewing threshold and performance monitoring to enhance reporting of metrics to inform trend analysis and capacity planning.
- Assist with tool enhancement recommendations to improve CIT's ability to detect and eliminate threats.
- Optimize CIT's existing comprehensive suite of tools used to manage the NIH networks.
- Assist with the detailed recommendations for augmenting and consolidating tools to maximize functionality and return on investments.
- Proactively test and implement vendor upgrades and patches by following the appropriate change and configuration management processes, while validating and maintain compliance with security requirements.
- Contribute domain knowledge towards the System Accreditation and Authorization documentation.
- Peer review deliverables from junior engineers/analysts
Qualifications
Bachelor's with 5-8 years of experience (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
- Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience
- CCNA/CCNP
