Product Manager - Payments

Location: Frisco, TX & Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - minimum 2 days onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Experience: 15+ Years

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Product Manager with deep expertise in Payments (fraud payments experience is a strong plus). The ideal candidate is a cross-functional leader who can drive complex initiatives from concept to execution with minimal oversight. This individual will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring seamless alignment across strategy, requirements, and delivery.

This role requires a self-starter with exceptional problem-solving skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to rapidly absorb information. The candidate must be comfortable operating independently, interpreting complex business and operational needs, and translating them into actionable requirements for both technical and executive audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Lead product strategy, planning, and execution for assigned payments products, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.

Define, document, and manage business requirements, process flows, user stories, and solution concepts.

Serve as the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle - from discovery and design to development and delivery.

Conduct market research, stakeholder interviews, and persona development to validate product opportunities.

Partner with business and technology teams to translate product vision into clear, consumable documentation.

Manage requirements and tasks using Agile frameworks and Jira.

Develop and maintain training materials, procedures, and process documentation.

Define, measure, and mitigate product risks; monitor product performance and report on key metrics.

Partner with operations teams to ensure product stability, manage escalations, and resolve production issues.

Drive multiple initiatives simultaneously with complete ownership and accountability.

Qualifications

15+ years of professional experience, with at least 8-10 years in product management, product ownership, or related roles.

Strong background in Payments, Treasury Management, or Fraud Products.

Proven ability to write detailed business requirements, process flows, and solution documentation.

Experience acting as the connector between business and technology teams - translating needs across audiences from developers to executives.

Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills; able to thrive in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).

Demonstrated ability to own initiatives end-to-end with minimal support.
